Dr. Dwayne J. Roark is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and Communications at Univar Solutions, where he leads global strategy, planning, and execution across marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, and public policy. He directs a worldwide team and partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to advance the company’s brand, reputation, and legislative priorities while strengthening relationships with government, industry groups, and key external stakeholders. His role spans the full spectrum of corporate affairs, ensuring alignment of marketing and policy strategy across all areas of the business. Before joining Univar Solutions, Dr. Roark served as Director of Corporate Communications for FMC, overseeing corporate reputation, brand strategy, and global communications operations. He previously held leadership roles in public affairs, communications, and marketing at Dow, MISUMI, and Danaher. Dr. Roark serves on the Boards of the Chemical Industry Council of Illinois and the International Chemical Trade Association. He is Chair of the Government Policy & Advocacy Committee for the Alliance for Chemical Distribution and Vice Chair of the Communications & Outreach Committee for the American Cleaning Institute. He is also an Adjunct Professor at American InterContinental University and an accomplished author and speaker for PR News. With extensive experience in higher education, he brings a strong record of academic leadership and collaboration within accredited university environments. Dr. Roark holds a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of St. Francis, an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University, and a PhD in Business Administration from Trident University International.
